PDHaRRIS Phillip David Harris

Phillip David Harris is a singer songwriter with UNCLE FUNK MUSIC PUBLISHING in Nashville. With several songs recorded by other Nashville Recording artists, he has performed with Music City’s most successful songwriters as well as Grammy Award winners. In 2005 he was nominated for “New Artists of the Year” with the CCMA.  This event was held at the historic Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville.  Phillip David is a Birmingham native who was born the youngest of five children to a Pentecostal Holiness preacher.  His music is filled with stories of colorful characters who seem to find trouble on every hand.  Phillip David’s songs caught the attention of Nashville Producer Dave Fowler (Dolly Parton, Tracy Lawrence, Lorrie Morgan) who quickly offered to pitch his material to the major labels.   He takes his audience through trailer parks, truck stops, churches, and bars with a "three chords and the truth" lyrical genius. His style is straight to the point, hard core, in-your-face country. Listen closely and you will hear his spiritual roots collide with the shadows of his past and fuse into a powerful message.
